Yamaha YCL-221II Student Bass Clarinet
The Yamaha YCL-221II student bass clarinet offers a unique quality construction as well as warm tone and easy playability- a great choice for the player on a budget. The matte finish gives the clarinet a much better appearance, while the ABS resin body makes the clarinet more lightweight and very durable while giving it a warmer sound and an excellent response. The rounded key prevents key damage and eliminates the need to hold the keys when putting the instrument together.
The neck angle has been redesigned and is now the same as professional models, allowing players to maintain a much more natural and ergonomic playing position.
The tone holes have been scientifically redesigned and placed for the most accurate intonation possible. Rounded bridge key connectors prevent wear and tear as well as eliminating the need to hold keys while assembling the instrument. Further, the leather pads with plastic resonators (which are also featured on Yamaha Saxophones) are incredibly lon lasting and provide a comfortable feel with increased projection than traditional clarinet pads.
